Lincoln- The Nebraska cross country team competed at the Wisconsin adidas Invite Friday afternoon in Madison, Wis.
Sophomore Jessica Wright led the Husker women with the top performance of her career, posting a time of 21:42 to finish 248th overall. On the men's side, freshman Jonah Heng led the Huskers with a time of 25:29 to finish 265th overall.
Junior co-captain Jarren Heng did not compete in the meet because of a calf injury. In team performances, the women finished 45th, while the men finished 49th.
The Huskers return to action at the Big Ten Championships in East Lansing, Mich., Oct. 28.
