2013 (Outlook)
After spending much of his freshman season adjusting to the distances covered in collegiate cross country, sophomore London Hawk looks to improve his times in  the hopes of helping the Huskers move up the Big Ten standings.

Hawk, also a middle distance runner for the track and field team at NU, will likely use his 2013 campaign to get stronger for the upcoming indoor track season.

2012 (Freshman)
London Hawk joined the Nebraska cross country team for his first season of collegiate cross country in 2012.

Hawk, who is also a member of the Husker track and field team, used the cross country season to expand his training base for the indoor and outdoor track seasons, while providing valuable depth to the young Husker men’s team.

London competed in only one meet during his freshman campaign, running at the Woody Greeno/Nebraska Invitational in Lincoln. Hawk finished 288th, running a 32:23.4.

A leader off the course for the Huskers, London received the Nebraska Student-Athlete HERO Leadership Award in 2013.

Before Nebraska (Thornwood)
Hawk comes to Nebraska after a stellar career for Coach Brian Evans at Thornwood High School. He won the 2011 Illinois state championship in the 400, finished third as a member of Thornwood's 4x400 relay team and took eighth individually in the 800. Hawk finished sixth at nationals with a 47.8 split in the 400 in 2010, while taking second at nationals in 2011 with a split of 47.1. He was also a member of Thornwood's academic honor roll.

The son of Rochelle Hawk, London was born Feb. 17, 1993. He has not declared a major at Nebraska.
