Official Brackets Released for Big Ten Championships

West Lafayette, Ind. - After its coaches meeting on Friday afternoon, the Big Ten Conference released the official brackets for the 2012 Big Ten Wrestling Championships, which kick off tomorrow at 9 a.m. Only one change was made to the preliminary seeds which were released earlier this week, and that was a 165 pounds.

Robert Kokesh (165), Josh Ihnen (184), James Nakashima (197) and Tucker Lane (Hwt) will all receive first-round byes for the tournament. Junior Ridge Kiley (133) will take on Joe Duca in the first round and true freshman Jake Sueflohn will battle Colin Shober (Northwestern) in his opening match.

James Green (157) is set to wrestle Wisconsin's Shawn Perry in the first round, while Tyler Koehn (174) will take on Ryan Leblanc (Indiana). Sophomore Shawn Nagel will take on the No. 1 seed at 125 pounds in Iowa's Matt McDonough.
