Huskers Tally 13 Big 12 Spring Honor Roll Accolades

Lincoln - The Nebraska women's gymnastics team placed 13 gymnasts among 330 Husker student-athletes honored as members of the Big 12 Commissioner's Spring Honor Roll, the conference office announced. The honor roll recognizes student-athletes with a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher during the previous semester, and within Nebraska's 330 selections, 50 earned perfect 4.0 GPAs.

Sophomore Janelle Giblin, junior Kassandra Nathe and freshman Jamie Schleppenbach led the impressive contingent of women's gymnasts on the list, all earning perfect 4.0 GPAs for the semester. It was the fourth honor for Giblin, sixth for Nathe and first for Schleppenbach. Senior Maria Scaffidi earned her eighth honor roll nod, while senior Erin Davis tallied her second honor and senior Brittnee Habbib tabbed a spot on the honor roll for the fourth time. Juniors Lora Evenstad and Kaitlin Reid also earned their sixth and second honors, respectively. Freshmen Deanna Barmore and Emily Wong each received their second honor roll accolade. Additionally, former Huskers Kristin Fyffe, Kathryn Howard and Stephanie Seich were honored for the sixth, eighth and fifth time, respectively.
