2015-16 (Outlook)
Katie Ditter returns to the pool in 2015-16 hoping for a memorable senior campaign. Ditter had a strong junior season that included seven more top-five finishes than her sophomore season. With continued hardwork, Ditter could contend for even higher finishes in her final season.

2014-15 (Junior)
During Ditter’s third season as a Husker, she accumulated 11 top-five finishes. Ditter notched her highest finish of the season by racing to a second-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke against Omaha. The Ralston, Neb., native set a career best time in the 200-yard IM at the 2015 Big Ten Championships. Ditter swam a time of 2:05.53, earning her 59th place. Ditter also starred in the classroom, claiming academic All-Big Ten honors in 2015.

2013-14 (Sophomore)
Ditter performed well for the Huskers in 2013-14, settting personal bests in four of her five events. Ditter set three career bests at the Big Ten Championships with times of 1:02.93 in the 100-yard breaststroke, 2:16.96 in the 200-yard breastroke, and 2:07.20 in the 200-yard individual medley. Her time in the 100-yard breaststroke was 3.10 faster than her previous best, while her time in the 200-yard individual medley was 5.45 faster. Ditter also earned herself four top-five places, with her best finish of second place coming in the 50-yard breaststroke against Northern Iowa.

2012-13 (Freshman)
Ditter got a taste of collegiate competition in 2012-13, competing in six different events for the Huskers as a freshman. She notched one top-five finish on the season, claiming a victory in the process. Her time of 1:08.57 in the 100-yard breaststroke earned Ditter the win against Northern Iowa. She also set a then-personal-best time in the 100 breaststroke (1:06.02) and 200 IM (2:12.65) at December’s GNST SWIMvite. In the classroom, Ditter earned a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall semester of 2012.

Ditter earned All-River Cities Conference honors for Coach Docker Hartfield at Ralston High School. A breaststroke specialist, Ditter swam the fastest time in the 100-yard breaststroke at the Nebraska High School State Championships in both her junior and senior years. Ditter was also a middle hitter on the Rams’ volleyball team and an honor roll student.

The daughter of Randy and Julie Ditter, Katie was born Nov. 28, 1993, in Omaha, Neb. She has a brother, Will. Katie is majoring in business administration and is a four-time Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll selection. She was also a member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team in 2014 and 2015.
