Mara Weekes competed in seven meets during the 2013 indoor season... recorded a season-best time of 7.48 in the 60 meters at the 2013 Big Ten Indoor Championships... also posted a season-best time of 24.05 in the 200 meters at the Razorback Invitational... notched a season-best time of 56.08 in the 400 meters at the Holiday Inn Invitational... finished eighth in the 60 meters (7.52), fifth in the 200 meters (24.11) and fifth in the 4x400 (3:42.37) at the 2013 Big Ten Indoor Championships.

Weekes became an All-American in 2012, earning first-team All-America accolades after helping the women's distance medley relay team to a seventh-place finish and time of 11:09.83 at the NCAA Indoor Championships... recorded a sixth-place finish in the 60 meters at the 2012 Big Ten Indoor Championships with a time of 7.52, also finishing third in the 200 meters with a personal-best time of 23.69... helped the 4x400-meter relay team to a fifth-place finish at the conference meet with a time of 3:40.72... set an indoor personal-best time of 7.46 in the 60 meters at the Mark Colligan Memorial... posted a season-best time of 55.69 in the 400 meters at the adidas Classic... during the Big Ten Outdoor Championships posted a fourth-place finish and time of 11.79 in the 100 meters and finished eighth in the 200 meters with a time of 23.98 and helped the 4x100-meter relay team to a fifth-place finish (46.14)... set outdoor personal bests of 11.57 in the 100 meters at the Nebraska Invitational and 23.66 in the preliminary round of the 200 meters at the Big Ten Championships... also recorded a season-best time of 57.60 in the 400 meters at the K.T. Woodman Classic... finished 19th in the 200 meters at the NCAA West Preliminary Round with a time of 23.89.

Weekes earned four All-Big 12 honors in 2011... finished 11th in the 400 meters with a personal-best time or 55.33 at the 2011 Big 12 Indoor Championships...earned All-Big 12 accolades after finishing fifth in the 4x400 meters with a time of 3:30.21... posted a personal best of 7.60 in the 60 meters at the Frank Sevigne Invitational... notched a season-best 24.21 in the 200 meters at the Frank Sevigne Invitational... took seventh in the 400 meters at the 2011 Big 12 Outdoor Championships with a personal-best time of 53.49 for All-Big 12 honors... finished eighth in the 4x100 meters with a time of 47.42 for All-Big 12 accolades... took sixth in the 4x400 meters with a time of 3:37.73 for the final All-Big 12 award of her freshman year... notched a personal-best 24.01 in the 200 meters at the Nebraska Open on May 1.

A member of the Quantum Leap Track Club, Weekes was a welcome addition to the NU sprints squad from Bridgetown, Barbados... held personal bests of 12.02 in the 100 meters, 24.09 in the 200 meters and 54.49 in the 400 meters... was the 2010 Barbados junior 200-meter champion... splashed onto the Caribbean sprint scene at the 2007 Carifta Games, where she won the U-17 400-meter title and finished third in the 200 meters... competed at the 2007 World Youth Championships in Ostrava, Czech Republic, where she placed 17th in the 400 meters... placed 19th in the 400 meters at the 2008 IAAF World Junior Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland, and ran the second leg of the 4x100-meter relay that set the Barbados junior record with a time of 44.79... made the U-20 finals of the 200 and 400 meters at the Carifta Games in Vieux Fort, St. Lucia, before winning the 400 and finishing second in the 200 meters at the Barbados National Championships... finished seventh in the U-20 400 meters (55.65) and ran the anchor leg of the third-place 4x400-meter relay team at the 2010 Carifta Games in George Town, Cayman Island.
