Wright, Gordon Post Third-Place Finishes at Jamaican National Championships

Lincoln, Neb. - Reigning NCAA Discus Champion Chad Wright and 2009 Indoor Long Jump Champion Nicholas Gordon represented the Huskers with third-place finishes at the Jamaican National Championship Meet on Saturday.

Gordon took to the runway in the men's long jump, finishing tied for third with a leap of 24-4 1/2 (7.43). Wright finished third in the men's discus competition as he recorded a throw of 195-10 (59.69).

In addition, Dexter McKenzie finished third in his heat of the men's 200 meter dash preliminaries. McKenzie posted a time of 21.36 to qualify for the finals on Sunday.
