Weather Alters World Series Schedule
Oklahoma City - Severe weather swept through the Oklahoma City area Friday night, postponing two scheduled games at the Women's College World Series and delaying the start time for Nebraska's matchup on Saturday. The Huskers will now take on Florida at 6 p.m. on Saturday in a nationally-televised matchup on ESPN.
Nebraska and Florida will play the first of two elimination matchups, with the winner advancing to play on Sunday. The 6 p.m. start time is approximate, as a pair of winner's bracket contests will precede the Huskers' game. The severe weather dropped heavy amounts of rain on the Oklahoma City area and featured strong winds and tornadoes. The Huskers took shelter for a total of nearly one hour on Thursday night after tornado sirens went off in downtown Oklahoma City. All members of the travel party made it through the severe weather safely.
