Iowa City, Iowa - The Nebraska men's golf team shot 583 through two rounds at the Hawkeye-Great River Entertainment Invitational on Saturday and is currently in seventh place heading into Sunday's final round.
The Huskers opened play at Finkbine Golf Course, a par-72, 7,180-yard layout, with a 292 before following it up with a 291 in the second round. Nebraska's seven-over-par total is 27 strokes off the pace, which is set by tournament host Iowa at 556.
Senior Scott Willman paced the Huskers on Saturday, shooting 2-under-par 142 over 36 holes. Willman opened with an even-par 72 before firing a 70 in the second round, which marked his 15th subpar round of the season. He is currently tied for 10th, seeking his fourth consecutive top-10 finish.
Jordan Reinertson is tied for 12th after shooting 143 on Saturday. The junior opened play with a career-low round of 69 before adding a 2-over-par 74 in the second round. Reinertson is seeking his best career finish as a Husker, which is currently a tie-for-32nd at this year's Jackrabbit Invitational.
Manuel Lavin shot 146 on Saturday and is currently tied for 23rd. Lavin posted 74 in the first round before an even-par 72 in the second round. The sophomore is looking for his best finish this spring, which is currently his 17th-place result at the Jackrabbit Invitational.
Ross Dickson is tied for 53rd after posting 153 through 36 holes. Dickson carded a 78 in the first 18 holes before following it up with a 75 in the second round. Junior Neil Dufford is in 60th place after 159 strokes through the first 36 holes. Dufford, who has competed in every event this season, shot 77 and 82.
