Ethan Rowley is the director of fan experience at Nebraska and has served as a full-time member of the Nebraska Athletic Marketing Department since October of 2009. He also served as a marketing associate for the Huskers from October of 2007 until being hired on a full-time basis.
Rowley oversees the planning and implementation of the marketing plans and game-day production for football and men’s basketball. He also supervises three full-time marketing and fan experience staff members and the spirit squad coach. Rowley also serves as the lead advisor to the Iron N, the official student section of the Nebraska Athletic Department.
A native of Grand Island, Neb., Rowley graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in advertising. He then attended Doane College and earned a bachelor's degree in physical education with an emphasis on fitness and sports management in 2005. In 2013, Rowley completed his master's in marketing, communication, and advertising.
Rowley teaches a Sports Promotions and Communications class each spring for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Journalism & Mass Communications college. He has previously worked as a residence director at both Doane and Nebraska, served as an adviser for several charity events and an intern with the Lincoln Stars hockey team. He also owned En Fuego Productions, a mobile disc jockey service.
Rowley is married to the former Kristen Elias, also a University of Nebraska graduate who works at the University of Nebraska Press. The couple has two sons, Gavin, 3, and Tyson, 1.
