The No. 9 Nebraska Rifle Team will finish the fall season this Saturday when they face No. 6 Ohio State at the NU Rifle Range.
The Huskers are coming off of a bye week and are 3-1 on the season. Nebraska’s most recent victory was on Nov. 9 when they defeated Memphis by a score of 4,635-4,630. Sophomore Denise Martin shot a career-high score of 591 in air rifle to help the Huskers beat the Tigers.
"The team has trained hard all fall and we are looking forward to improving on our home qualifying score," Coach Underwood said.
Ohio State beat Army last Saturday by 10 points. The Buckeyes were led by senior Amanda Luoma and freshman Deanna Binnie.
“Ohio State has been performing great this season and we will have to have solid performances from top to bottom to earn a win," Coach Underwood said. "We have been working on being fearless this week and competing outside our comfort zone. Hopefully that will translate into some top performances Saturday."
The match is set to start at 9 a.m.
