The Nebraska rifle team will take aim at the top teams in the nation throughout the 2014-15 season, first-year coach Ashley Rose-MacAllister announced as part of the Huskers’ schedule release on Friday, Aug. 15.
Rose-MacAllister opens her first season at the helm of the Huskers when the Big Red travels to Colorado to battle Air Force on Oct. 4.
The following weekend Nebraska competes at the NU Rifle Range with a pair of home matches. The Huskers are set to square off with Rose-MacAllister’s alma mater, Murray State, on Oct. 10, before facing Ole Miss on Oct. 12 in Lincoln.
The Huskers hit the road the next weekend, traveling to South Carolina to compete against NC State (Oct. 18) and Army (Oct. 19). After a week off, the Big Red will battle Memphis (Nov. 1) and Ohio State (Nov. 2) in Memphis, Tenn., before concluding the fall season in Fairbanks, Alaska by taking on Kentucky (Nov. 22) and Alaska (Nov. 23).
After the conclusion of the first semester and the holiday break, the Huskers return to action Jan. 17 by traveling to West Virginia to take on the 2014 NCAA champion Mountaineers. Nebraska continues the weekend road trip by taking on Akron in Ohio on Jan. 18.
The Huskers return to the NU Rifle Range for their final two regular-season matches against TCU (Jan. 31) and Navy (Feb. 1). Postseason action begins on Feb. 22 with the NCAA Qualifiers in Murray, Ky.
