Fairbanks, Alaska - The Nebraska rifle team will compete against Jacksonville State on Thursday after nearly three weeks off from competition in a tune up before the NCAA Qualifiers.
The Huskers, who are 6-9-1 on the season, are looking to build momentum from their most recent finish, a tie-for-second at the Roger Withrow Invitational. At the eight-team competition, Nebraska shot a season-best 4,647.
The Huskers are 4-5 all-time against Jacksonville State with their last match occurring in 2009. The Gamecocks have won the five most recent meetings in the series, which dates back to 2000, after losing the first four.
