Joann Ross, Ph.D., joined the Husker Academic Team in May 2013 after tutoring for the program in 2012 and 2013. Ross serves as a full-time learning specialist, working primarily with the men's track and field, wrestling and baseball teams. In addition, she serves as the Summer Bridge Coordinator and assists with policy writing and development.
Prior to her current position, Ross served as a graduate instructor for the University of Nebraska History Department during the 2012-13 academic year. From 2007 to 2011, she was a member of the history faculty at the Louisiana School for Math, Science and the Arts in Natchitoches, La., where she taught classes in history, gender studies, law studies and government.
Ross holds a bachelor’s degree in history and psychology from Oregon and a juris doctorate from the Nebraska College of Law. She earned her Ph.D. in history at Nebraska
