Student-Athletes attend CBA Career Night
On Tuesday, October 8th, 5 panelists and approximately 20 student-athletes from multiple sports attended the first annual College of Business Administration Career Night. Panelists from the business school included Dean of Business, Dr. Donde Plowman and CBA Career Coach, Sarah Barg. Two former Husker Football letterwinners, Dan Titchener (2005-2008) and Frosty Anderson (1970-1973) also joined the panel along with junior, softball student-athlete, Mattie Fowler. This blend of speakers gave student-athletes multiple perspectives to draw from as each panelist shared about their personal experiences and acquired knowledge.
The career night sought to help undecided student-athletes and current business students gain a better understanding of the opportunities within the business school. Student-athletes inquired about a wide range of topics including graduate school, study abroad programs, and resume content. The panelists encouraged the student-athletes in their marketability when applying for jobs and shed light on the career development resources within the college and on campus.
