Kayla Conrad enters her first year as Life Skills Coordinator at Nebraska after serving as an assistant academic counselor during the 2013-14 academic year.
Conrad will be responsible for coordinating several major events within Husker Life Skills including the Student-Athlete Career Fair, Networking Night, Senior Event and Financial Forums. Conrad will serve as the staff advisor to Nebraska Football Uplifting Athletes, which is a recognized student organization charged with raising awareness and funds related to pediatric brain cancer. Conrad is also the Life Skills sport contact for track and field, cross country, volleyball and women’s gymnastics.
Conrad is a graduate of the University of North Florida earning both her bachelor’s degree (elementary education) and master’s degree (athletic administration). Conrad competed for both the cross country and track and field teams at North Florida, serving as team captain her senior year.
Conrad also served as the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee President and earned the prestigious NCAA Women’s Enhancement Scholarship for Careers in Athletics.
