Dr. Scott Strasburger has served on the Husker medical staff as an orthopaedic surgeon since 1996. Strasburger is also a staff othropaedist at the University Health Center at Nebraska.
Strasburger was a third-team All-American in 1984 and a two-time All-Big Eight selection at Nebraska. Strasburger was also an academic All-American in 1983 and 1984 and earned the National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame Scholar-Athlete Award and postgraduate scholarship in 1984. He was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in 1985.
Strasburger received his bachelor's degree in life sciences from Nebraska in 1990. He attended the Nebraska Medical Center School of Medicine and served a surgical internship at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis. Strasburger returned to Tennessee for his orthopaedic residency and received advanced training at the world-renowned American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Ala.
Strasburger, who has also served as the team physician for the Lincoln Southeast High School athletic programs, has one son, Matthew, and a daughter, Ella.
