(Information as of Sept. 25) - Nebraska's football game against Louisiana-Lafayette on Saturday, Sept. 26, will be telecast via pay-per-view on participating cable, satellite and fiber-optic providers. Kickoff for the contest on Homecoming in Lincoln is set for 6 p.m. (central).
The game will also be the NCAA-record 300th consecutive sellout at Memorial Stadium, and Nebraska will be wearing 1962 throwback jerseys to honor the team that started the Huskers' sellout streak. The Ragin' Cajuns come to Lincoln with a 2-1 record after a loss on Saturday to LSU in Baton Rouge, while the Huskers are also 2-1 following a 16-15 loss to 13th-ranked Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. Louisiana-Lafayette already owns a win over a Big 12 foe this season after beating Kansas State in its second game of the year.
Information about how to purchase the telecast, including a current list of participating cable systems and satellite providers, is attached. Cable and satellite providers will be added throughout the week, and updates will be posted on Huskers.com and FoxSports.com, search: Nebraska pay-per-view as they become available.
Suggested retail price for residential purchase is $29.95. Participating cable and satellite providers will offer the telecast to their customers on a specially designated pay-per-view channel. The telecast will not preempt FSN’s regularly scheduled programming.
The game is being televised on pay-per-view because it was not selected for over-the-air broadcast or cable television coverage. Nebraska’s season-opener against Florida Atlantic (Sept. 5) and second game against Arkansas State (Sept. 12) were both pay-per-view telecasts. Nebraska and FOX Sports Net are working together to make these games available to fans on television on a pay-per-view basis. FSN’s pay-per-view division will produce and distribute the telecasts.
For the Louisiana-Lafayette game play-by-play announcer Brent Stover will call the action alongside analyst Matt Davison, with Kent Pavelka as sideline reporter.
