Nebraska and Wake Forest will meet in a nationally televised night game at Memorial Stadium on Sept. 10.

The Big 12 Conference and TBS have announced that Nebraska’s Sept. 10 home game against Wake Forest will be televised nationally on the network, with kickoff set for 6 p.m. CDT.

Nebraska has appeared on TBS three times since the network resumed televising college football in 2002, but the Huskers’ matchup with Wake Forest will mark the first time the network has visited Memorial Stadium. In the past three seasons, Nebraska has appeared on TBS in road games at Texas A&M in 2002, at Missouri in 2003 and at Texas Tech last season.

The matchup between Nebraska and Wake Forest is the third Husker game in 2005 scheduled for television, and the second scheduled for national telecast. Nebraska’s Nov. 25 game at Colorado will be nationally televised on ABC, while the Sept. 17 game against Pittsburgh in Lincoln is set for a regional telecast on ABC. Both of those games will kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT. Television plans and game times for the remainder of Nebraska’s games will be announced six to 12 days in advance of kickoff.

Nebraska’s game with Wake Forest will mark the second-ever meeting between the two schools. Nebraska defeated the Demon Deacons 36-12 in the 1970 season. The schools are scheduled to meet again on Sept. 8, 2007, in Winston-Salem, N.C.
