Lincoln – The Nebraska football team spent the morning before Thanksgiving giving thanks back to the Lincoln community by visiting four area hospitals on Wednesday, including Bryan LGH East, Nebraska Heart Hospital, Madonna Rehabilitation Clinic and St. Elizabeth’s Hospital.

Reaching out to Husker fans at local hospitals has become a tradition for players and coaches over the last several years, giving them the opportunity to support those who have supported them throughout the season. In addition to visiting with patients, the Huskers also took time to sign autographs, distribute Nebraska apparel and pose for photos with fans.

Fans can see a gallery of today’s visits by clicking on the album link above.

Both teams will be fighting at a shot at a postseason bowl game, as the winner of the contest will become bowl eligible. The game will can be watched live on ABC.
