The 2005 Alamo Bowl Champion Huskers will be recognized at halftime of Saturday's Nebraska-Missouri basketball game.

The Nebraska football team will be recognized at halftime of Saturday’s men’s basketball game between Nebraska and Missouri at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.

Nebraska Head Coach Bill Callahan, the Husker coaching staff and the majority of the players from the 2005 team will be present for the halftime recognition. Also on hand Saturday will be MasterCard Alamo Bowl Chairman Joe Linson, who will present the Husker football team with the Alamo Bowl trophy.

The presentation is in recognition of Nebraska’s 2005 season that culminated with the victory over Michigan in the Alamo Bowl. The Alamo Bowl win was Nebraska’s 22nd all-time bowl victory and the 43rd bowl trip in school history. The Huskers finished the year with an 8-4 record by winning the final three games of the season.

Tipoff for Saturday’s game with Missouri is set for 3 p.m. Tickets remain for the contest and are available by visiting Huskers.com or calling the Athletic Ticket Office at 1-800-8BIG RED.
