Lincoln – With temperatures in the mid 60’s Friday afternoon, the Nebraska football team practiced outside for just over two hours on the Ed and Joyanne Gass practice fields northeast of Memorial Stadium. With the annual Red-White Spring Game a week from tomorrow, the Huskers continued to work with different combinations upfront on the offensive line.
“Right now we keep evaluating our guys and trying to get the best five out there,” Offensive Line Coach Barney Cotton said. “It’s not going to be until fall camp that we know how things are going to work out.”
The Huskers will continue practice Saturday morning, wrapping up week three of spring drills. Reserved tickets for the April 18 Red-White Spring Game remain available through Huskers.com or by calling the Nebraska Athletic Ticket Office at 1-800-8-BIG-RED. Tickets are $10 each. Fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets no later than Friday, April 10 so that they can receive the tickets in the mail and avoid potentially long will-call lines on game day. Kickoff for the Red-White Spring game is at 1 p.m.
In other ticketing news, as of 4:30 p.m. today, approximately 1,500 tickets remained for the July 4 Larry the Cable Guy Show in Memorial Stadium. The University of Nebraska Athletic Ticket Office does not expect that tickets will remain available until Monday, and fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets on-line as soon as possible. Approximately 50,000 tickets were available for sale in Memorial Stadium (not counting Suites) as the stage will be set up on the East side of Memorial Stadium, facing West.
The NU Athletic Ticket Office closed at 5 p.m. on Friday, will not be open on Saturday or Sunday and will re-open on Monday at 8 a.m. (The auxiliary NU Athletic Ticket Office at Haymarket Park will only be selling Husker baseball and softball tickets on Saturday and Sunday).
