Texas Player Quotes
Nebraska vs. Texas

Quarterback Colt McCoy
On his team’s performance
"They had it in their minds that we were going to come in here and win. I can’t say enough about them, my coaches and my teammates. I want to give God the glory of blessing us out there. It’s like a movie. (Aaron) Ross caused the fumble at the end and all we had to do was get down to field goal range and we did that. Ryan Bailey steps in and I just said ‘Kick it like you do in practice.’ He never missed in practice. ‘Just go out there and kick.’"
On his performance
"It was pretty good. I felt like offensively, we did an all right job moving the ball, especially going against the wind in the fourth quarter. We had to make some plays. They (Nebraska) came in firing. The second half they blitzed almost every play. They were coming at us from all different ways."
"Nobody lost heart. Nebraska is great team. They are well-coached. They were fired up and ready. They were going to do everything they can to beat us. They did a tremendous job. Most likely we’ll see them down the road in the Big 12 Championship. We’re definitely going to have to continue to get better offensively. They are a great football team and this is a tremendous win for our football team."
Cornerback Aaron Ross
On the win over Nebraska
"It means a lot. Nebraska is a tough team and I’m real sore after this game. I’m pretty sure we’ll see them again. After playing in the snow and with all the adversity, it means a lot to us."
On his thoughts of Ryan Bailey kicking the game-winning field goal
"He’d been kicking really well in practice and he’s a walk-on. I have him in my physics class, so I know him pretty well, and I’m pretty happy for him. I’m sure he’s going to be well known on campus now."
On Texas’ defense
"We never give up on defense. We all have faith in each other and anything can happen as you saw."
On forcing a turnover on Nebraska’s last drive
"We look forward to getting turnovers every drop, but that was a crucial one for our offense to have great field position. They only had about 40 yards to go, so a turnover was on our minds."
