Nebraska's Oct. 9 game at Texas Tech has been selected for a TBS Superstation telecast, beginning at 6 p.m. Central time.

The Big 12 Conference has announced that Nebraska’s Oct. 9 game at Texas Tech has been selected for a national telecast on TBS Superstation. The telecast is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. (CDT).

The Texas Tech game will mark the third time in five contests to open the season, Nebraska has been selected for regional or national television. The Huskers’ Sept. 11 game against Southern Miss was televised on a regional basis by ABC Sports, while NU’s Sept. 18 game at Pittsburgh was carried to most of the nation by ABC. Nebraska’s season opener against Western Illinois and this Saturday night’s game against Kansas have been televised on a pay-per-view basis.

The appearance on TBS Superstation will mark Nebraska’s third TBS appearance in as many years, since the network resumed televising college football in 2002. The Huskers’ won 38-31 at Texas A&M on TBS in 2002, and lost 41-24 at Missouri in its 2003 TBS appearance.

Other Big 12 Conference games scheduled for telecast on Oct. 9 are Oklahoma vs. Texas at 11 a.m. on ABC, Oklahoma State at Colorado at 2:30 p.m. on ABC and Missouri at Baylor at 9 p.m. on FSN.
