The University of Nebraska announced that tickets to the April 14 Red-White Spring Football Game are available for purchase beginning Wednesday. Tickets are available at Huskers.com and can also be purchased by contacting the Nebraska Athletic Ticket Office at 1-800-8BIG RED.

The Red-White game is the first chance to get a glimpse of the 2007 Huskers. Nebraska returns 13 starters from last year’s North Division championship team.

For the first time in several years, Memorial Stadium will be at full capacity of more than 80,000 for the spring game. In recent years, on-going construction has limited seating at Memorial Stadium, but Husker fans have turned out in large numbers for the Red-White Spring Game. The 2004 spring game drew 61,417 fans, the 2005 contest attracted 63,416 fans, and last year’s game drew 57,415 when the North Stadium was closed for construction.

The cost of tickets for the Red-White game are $8 for adults and $4 for youth (high school age and younger) and seniors. UNL students and children six and under will be admitted for free. UNL faculty and staff will also be admitted for free. Children wishing to take the Drug Free Pledge at halftime will also be admitted for free. Kickoff for the Red-White Spring Game is set for 12:30 p.m.

In addition to the spring game the Nebraska softball team will host Texas on Saturday, April 14, with first pitch set for 2 p.m.

Information on additional events surrounding the Red-White Spring Game will be announced in the coming weeks on Huskers.com.
