Huskers in the NFL: Week 7
Courtesy: NU Media Relations
Release: 10/25/2004
Ahman Green rushed for 163 yards on 15 carries in Green Bay's win over Dallas on Sunday.
Lincoln -- With the NFL season closing in on the halfway point, several former Huskers are making impacts throughout the National Football League.
In Green Bay , Ahman Green rushed for 163 yards on just 15 attempts, including a late third quarter jaunt for 90 yards as the Packers routed the Dallas Cowboys 41-20. With the win the Packers improved to 3-4 on the year, while the Cowboys slipped to 2-4 on the year.
Nebraska's tradition of special teams excellence has continued in the NFL with place-kickers Josh Brown and Kris Brown and punter Kyle Larson. Josh Brown connected on two extra points and a 54-yard field goal even though the Seahawks lost to the Cardinals 25-17. Kris Brown is 11-12 on field goal attempts for the year as the Houston Texans were in a bye week. Kyle Larson helped the Cincinnati Bengals win their first Monday Night Football appearance in nearly two decades with a victory over the Denver Broncos.
Currently, Nebraska leads all Big 12 schools with 38 former players on NFL rosters a total that ranks among the leaders for all schools.
