A minimum of eight Husker baseball games will be televised this season, as the Nebraska baseball program announced its television package on Wednesday. The schedule includes five games on Nebraska Educational Television, as well a pair of national TV appearances.

Nebraska’s first TV appearance of the year will be on Saturday, March 29, as the Huskers head to Austin, Texas, for a contest against the Longhorns. This game will be carried throughout the Big 12 region on FSN, and is one of five regular-season telecasts this season. First pitch for this contest has been moved from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. FSN, which announced four of its regular-season broadcasts, has one remaining wildcard slot on May 18 and also televises the Big 12 Championship game on Sunday, May 25.

Five of the games are in partnership with Nebraska Educational Television and will be carried across the state on NET-1 and NET-HD. The five-game schedule begins on Saturday, April 5, as the Huskers host Texas Tech from Hawks Field. Other games in the package include games against Creighton (April 22 and May 13), Kansas (April 20) and Texas A&M (May 10).

Nebraska’s game at Iowa on Tuesday, April 8, will be carried nationally on the Big Ten Network (Ch. 220 on DirecTV; Ch. 439 on Dish Network), while the Huskers’ game at Creighton on April 1 will be shown in Omaha on 62O (6.2 on digital channels; Ch. 120 on Cox Communications) and on MyTV in Lincoln (Ch. 110 on Time Warner Cable; Ch. 25 on DirecTV in Lincoln and Grand Island; Ch. 17 on Charter Communications).

In addition, other televised games will be added at a later date, and fans should check Huskers.com for updates.
