Stanford, Calif. Rain was the only winner on Saturday, as Nebraska’s baseball game against Stanford was suspended in the middle of the third inning. The two teams were deadlocked in a scoreless contest, as heavy rains suspended play at 3:40 p.m. (central).

The two teams will resume Saturday’s contest tomorrow afternoon at 3 p.m. (Central) with a second game to follow approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the suspended game. Both games will be on Huskers.com and on selected Husker Sports Network stations following the women’s basketball game.

Husker starter Dan Jennings was sharp early on, allowing one hits and striking out a batter in his two innings of work. Stanford starter Max Fearnow matched Jennings, striking out four and not allowing a base hit through the first three innings.
