2011 Outlook: Junior college transfer Tyler Lansangan (pronounced LAWN-song-in) is one of four junior college transfers on the Husker pitching staff • Missed nearly all of the 2009 season with an elbow injury and subsequent surgery • Was a first-team All-Jayhawk League pick in 2008, going 6-3 with four saves and a 1.44 ERA • Hit .286 while starting two games in center field during October’s Red-White Series.

Before Nebraska: Lansangan was one of the top junior college pitchers in the country at Coffeyville CC and Coach Andy Morgan before being sidelined by an injury in 2009 • Named a preseason All-American and fanned eight over four shutout innings in his first start before being sidelined with the injury and took a redshirt season • Named first-team All-Jayhawk League as a freshman in 2008, going 6-3 with four saves and a 1.44 ERA • Fanned 44 and walked only nine over 48.2 innings of work • Played four seasons of baseball at Oak Park High School, helping the school to three district titles and a third-place showing in the Class 4A state tournament in 2006 • Was a first-team All-Northland  and first-team All-Suburban Big 7 Conference pick • Was a three-time member of the principal’s honor roll and graduated in the top-10 percent in his class.
