2016: Jeff Chesnut made a team-high 30 appearances in 2016 and ended the season as Nebraska's career leader in appearances with 92 • With his 31 appearances in 2015, joined Dave Matranga (35 in 1991, 34 in 1990) as the only pitchers in NU history with 30 or more appearances in multiple seasons • Finished the year with a 3-2 record and a 3.09 ERA over 32.0 innings • Struck out 27 and gave up just three extra-base hits all year • Was NU's most dominant reliever during Big Ten play, posting a 1.50 ERA in 12 innings over 12 appearances • Allowed multiple earned runs in an appearances just twice on the year • After giving up four earned runs to Arizona on Feb. 27, allowed just four earned runs over his next 25 appearances.

2015: Chesnut led the Huskers in appearances in 2015 with 31, all out of the bullpen • The 31 appearances tied Zach Hirsch (2014) and McGraw Milhaven (1988) for sixth place in NU’s single-season record book • Was 6-0 on the year with a 2.72 ERA over a career-high 43.0 innings • Threw 42.1 combined innings over his two seasons at Nebraska • Held opposing hitters to a .255 batting average, while allowing just six extra-base hits • Started the year by not allowing an earned run in his first 7.2 innings over five appearances • Gave up just two earned runs in 21.1 innings over his first 15 appearances • Allowed a total of three hits and one run in his final three appearances of the year, pitching a combined 3.1 innings • Combined with three other pitchers for a 15-inning shutout against Texas on March 28 and the group earned Louisville Slugger National Player-of-the-Week honors.

2014: Chesnut made 15 appearances, all out of the bullpen, for the Huskers in 2014 • Finished the year with a 3.24 ERA in 16.2 innings of work • Tossed a pair of scoreless innings of relief, while allowing one hit in a 7-6 win over Ohio State in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament on May 21 • Was his first appearance since April 9 after missing most of April and May with a virus • Was nearly perfect out of the bullpen for the Huskers during the season-opening weekend at the Husker Classic in Tempe, Ariz. • Worked 3.2 shutout innings over two appearances, allowing just one hit and one walk.

2013: Chesnut primarily worked out of the bullpen as a freshman in 2013, while also making two mid-week starts for the Huskers • Threw 25.2 innings over 16 appearances, including six appearances during Big Ten play and two appearances at the Big Ten Tournament • Threw 1.0 inning of perfect relief in a 5-0 win that eliminated Ohio State from the conference tournament on May 25 • During a six-appearance stretch (April 2-24), gave up just one run, including no earned runs, over 8.0 innings • Made his first career start against Northern Colorado on March 6 at Hawks Field • Earned his first career win in the 5-1 victory, as he notched a season-high three strikeouts, while giving up one run on one hit over 4.0 innings • Made his Husker debut at Bakersfield on Feb. 15 in the season opener • Gave up two runs and three hits over 2.0 innings.

Before Nebraska: Chesnut joined the Huskers from Millard South High School, where he was a three-year letterwinnner under Coach Greg Geary • Was a Class A All-Nebraska honorable-mention pick by the Omaha World-Herald in 2012 • Threw four no-hitters in 2012, including a 13-strikeout performance against Bellevue East • Was a leader offensively as well with a team-high seven home runs • Helped Millard South to the No. 6 seed at the 2012 Class A state tournament, where the Patriots upset No. 3 seed Omaha Westside in the first round • Was picked to play in the 40th annual Orcutt-Collin Memorial Game • Chose Nebraska over Nebraska-Omaha, New Mexico State and Northern Colorado.
