2008: Nimmo was a four-year performer and three-year starter in center field who earned honorable-mention All-Big 12 honors in 2008 • Carries a 3.51 GPA in finance and was a first-team academic All-District VII pick in 2008 • Finished his senior year with a .289 average, one homer, 46 runs scored and nine stolen bases in 57 games • Ranked second on the squad with 19 multi-hit games, including a four-hit game against No. 9 Texas A&M on May 11 • Hit .200 in the NCAA Regional, but stole three bases and walked three times in three contests • Was 3-for-6 with an RBI against No. 12 Missouri on May 17 • Put together one of the best performances of his career in the series finale against Texas A&M, going 4-for-6 with four RBIs, as he reached safely in five of his six plate appearances • Had a 3-for-4 effort against Western Illinois on April 30 • Was 3-for-11 with three walks and three runs scored in the series win at Baylor • Went 2-for-6 with a career-high two doubles and two RBIs against Creighton on April 23 • Hit .462 (6-for-13) with four runs scored against Kansas, including a 3-for-5 effort in an 8-6 win on April 18, to go along with two hits and two runs scored in the finale • Put together a strong series at No. 21 Oklahoma State, hitting .444 (4-for-9) with three walks and three runs scored • Moved into the leadoff spot in the series finale at No. 21 Oklahoma State on April 13, going 2-for-3 with three walks and three runs scored in a 14-5 victory • Sparked NU’s sweep of Northern Colorado, hitting .429 with four RBIs, three runs scored and three walks, as he went 2-for-3 with a pair of walks, two RBIs and scored three times on March 26 • Hit .364 (4-for-11) with a pair of RBIs in a series win over Oklahoma, including two hits and a pair of RBIs in the finale on March 23 • Blistered Northern Colorado by going 6-for-13 with a homer, three RBIs and five runs scored, including a 3-for-4 afternoon with his first homer since April of 2006 and two runs scored in the series opener on March 8 • Matched his career high with four runs scored, going 2-for-3 with a pair of walks in a win over Nebraska-Kearney on March 4 • Hit .467 (7-for-15) in a series sweep of UC Riverside, highlighted by a 3-for-5 effort with three RBIs on March 1 • Went 3-for-10 at Stanford, including a 2-for-3 night with two walks and three runs scored in a 9-2 victory on Feb. 22

2007: Nimmo was one of the Big 12’s best defensive center fielders in helping the Huskers make their third straight NCAA Regional appearance • Appeared in 49 contests, hitting .273 with a team-high 13 stolen bases and 30 runs scored • Threw out five runners from center while committing just two errors in 124 chances on the season • Found success when he moved to eighth in the lineup following a shoulder injury, hitting .311 in that spot after hitting .200 in NU’s first eight games • Turned in nine multi-hit games, including three-hit performances against No. 23 Oklahoma on April 15 and Missouri on March 26 • Drew 22 walks and struck out 18 times, including once in his final 47 at-bats • Shined in the NCAA Tempe Regional, hitting .400 with four runs scored, five RBIs and two stolen bases, while posting a .563 on-base percentage • Keyed NU’s 11-1 win over No. 14 UC Riverside on June 3, going 1-for-2 with two walks, two RBIs and three runs scored • Did not get a hit in 10 at-bats at the Big 12 Tournament • Raised his average over 100 points in Big 12 play, batting .316 with 12 runs scored in 23 games • Was 4-for-10 with a pair of walks and a sacrifice in the series win against Baylor, putting together multi-hit games in both the opener and the finale • Went 3-for-9 with two runs scored and a pair of walks against Kansas State, including a 2-for-3 effort with two runs scored in the series-clinching win on April 28 • Hit .455 (5-for-11) with three RBIs, two walks and a pair of stolen bases at No. 23 Oklahoma • Drove in a pair of runs and stole two bases in a 6-4 win on April 14 and matched his season high with three hits the following day against the Sooners • Had two hits, scored twice and had a stolen base at No. 11 Wichita State on April 11 • Hit .375 (3-for-8) with a stolen base and two runs scored in the series at No. 14 Texas A&M • Was 3-for-3 with a walk and scored three times in NU’s victory over Missouri on March 25 • Returned to the lineup after missing nine games against Western Illinois on March 20, going 2-for-4 with a pair of stolen bases.

2006: Nimmo moved into the starting role in center field, hitting .259 with three homers, 21 RBIs and a team-high 16 stolen bases • Finished ninth in the Big 12 in stolen bases • Topped NU in steals and ranked among the team leaders in walks (27, third), hit-by-pitches (11, second) and runs scored (39, fifth) from the leadoff spot • Committed just four errors in 131 chances while also throwing out four runners from his center field position • Went hitless in both of NU’s NCAA Tournament games • Went 1-for-3 against No. 6 Texas to help NU to the Big 12 title game • Started 25 of 27 Big 12 games, hitting .221 with six stolen bases • Hit .357 (5-for-14) at No. 24 Oklahoma State, collecting three hits, including a triple, in a 7-6 loss on May 7 • Was 2-for-12 with three walks and five runs scored in the sweep of Texas Tech • Went 2-for-11 with three walks in a series win at No. 5 Texas, including a 2-for-4 effort in the series finale on April 23 • Showed his defensive prowess against Texas A&M on April 15, making a spectacular diving catch and firing a strike to third to get the runner trying to advance on the catch to help preserve Johnny Dorn’s complete-game shutout • Hit .333 (5-for-15) with two walks, three stolen bases and two RBIs against Missouri, including a 3-for-5 effort with an RBI, two runs scored and a pair of stolen bases in a 13-7 win in the finale on April 9 • Enjoyed his first career four-hit day against Kansas on March 25, going 4-for-5 in the Husker win • Went 3-for-3 with a homer, two stolen bases and scored four times in the series opener against South Dakota State on March 17 • Hit a team-high .400 in the sweep of No. 25 Alabama with a homer, four runs scored and two RBIs • Went 2-for-3 with his first homer of the year and two RBIs in a 5-1 win over the Crimson Tide on March 11, and had two of NU’s four hits and scored twice in a 6-2 Husker win in the series finale • Won the Silver Stick Award for the highest average at the Dairy Queen Classic, hitting .545 (6-for-11) with two RBIs, three stolen bases and three runs scored • Went 1-for-2 with a double, two walks and two stolen bases, including a steal of home, in a 4-1 victory at Minnesota on March 3 • Opened the tournament by going 3-for-5 with two RBIs and a stolen base in an 11-1 win over Notre Dame on March 3 • Turned in a solid effort against St. John’s on Feb. 26, driving in three runs, as he went 2-for-5 with a double.

2005: Nimmo was one of six freshmen who saw action in 2005, helping the Huskers to a school-record 57 wins and the school’s third CWS appearance • Hit .207 with two homers, 12 RBIs and 19 runs scored in 46 contests • Backed up Daniel Bruce in center field, while also serving as the Huskers’ primary pinch runner • Totaled four multiple-hit games, including three-hit efforts against Northern Colorado and Hawaii-Hilo • Made two appearances in the College World Series, going hitless in three at-bats in his only NCAA Tournament action • Made the start against Texas Tech in the Big 12 Tournament on May 27, going 0-for-3, but made a spectacular diving catch that preserved NU’s one-run win • Was used as a pinch runner in two other games, scoring both times, as NU won five straight games out of the loser’s bracket • Was 1-for-5 with a pinch-hit RBI single that gave NU a 5-4 lead in a win over No. 17 Missouri on May 8 • Had two hits and scored three times in the series against No. 1 Texas, as he scored three times in an 11-4 loss on April 9 • Enjoyed a breakthrough game against Seton Hall on March 20, going 2-for-3 with two homers and six RBIs • Went 3-for-4 with a run scored against Northern Colorado on March 15 • Posted his first career three-hit game against Hawaii-Hilo on Feb. 20, going 3-for-5 with an RBI.

Central High School: Nimmo was one of the region’s top prospects, playing American Legion Baseball for Coach Tagg Lain for the Post 6 American Legion Baseball Club in Cheyenne (Wyoming does not sponsor high school baseball) • Finished his American Legion career holding program marks for batting average (.456), hits (525), RBIs (334), stolen bases (188), doubles (120), runs (484), homers (32), triples (43) and walks (212) • Led team to four state titles, including a regional runner-up showing as a junior • Was a two-time MVP of the Wyoming state tournament • Tabbed the best prospect in the Rocky Mountain Region (Montana, Idaho and Wyoming) by Baseball America prior to the 2004 draft • Hit .502 with 17 homers, 79 RBIs and 137 runs scored in 72 games as a senior • Showed exceptional speed with 27 doubles, 12 triples and 60 stolen bases • Put up tremendous numbers as a junior, hitting .496 with five homers, 71 RBIs and 110 runs scored, while stealing 40-of-42 bases • Starred in football, indoor track and basketball in high school • Named first-team all-state at two positions (QB & DB) and was presented with the Wyoming Super 25 Award • Won the state indoor 400-meter title in 2002 • Was a member of the National Honor Society and was on the school honor roll • Looked at Texas Tech, Illinois, Gonzaga, Kansas State and Purdue before becoming a Husker.
