2007: Corriston made an immediate impact on the Husker lineup, hitting .320 with five homers and 41 RBIs after transferring from Paris Junior College • Served as the Huskers’ primary third baseman, making 42 starts at the position, while also making starts at four other positions (1B, SS, RF and DH) during the 2007 campaign • Was the Huskers’ primary hitter in the No. 2 spot in the lineup and ranked among the team leaders in homers (second), RBIs (third), batting average (third), runs scored (33, third) and hits (66, third) • Finished second on the squad with 19 multi-hit games and hit a team-best .349 with 17 RBIs in two-out situations • Named to the NCAA Tempe Regional All-Tournament team, hitting .389 with four RBIs and three runs scored, tying his career high with a pair of three-hit games • Went 3-for-5 with three RBIs in a win over No. 14 UC Riverside on June 3 before going 3-for-5 with two runs scored in a loss to No. 5 Arizona State later that day • Batted .333 (3-for-9) with two runs scored at the Big 12 Tournament • Hit .320 with three homers and 20 RBIs in conference action, as he finished eighth in the league in hits (36) in collecting All-Big 12 honors • Led NU to a series win at Kansas, hitting .455 (5-for-11) with five runs scored, four RBIs and five stolen bases, including a 3-for-4 effort in the opener and a 2-for-4 night with three stolen bases and three runs scored on May 19 • Was 3-for-15 in the series win over Baylor, matching his season high with three hits and scoring twice in a 10-4 victory on May 11 • Saw time at shortstop in both games against No. 18 Coastal Carolina, going 2-for-6 with two runs scored • Hit .400 (4-for-10) with a homer, four RBIs and three runs scored in the series win at No. 23 Oklahoma, driving in a career-high four runs on April 15 • Broke out of a 1-for-22 slump against No. 13 Oklahoma State in early April, hitting .455 with a homer and two RBIs, while scoring four times in a crucial series win • Enjoyed a 3-for-4 afternoon with a homer and two runs scored in the series opener against the No. 13 Cowboys on April 6 • Homered and scored twice in NU’s 5-3 win over Northern Colorado on March 27, as his fifth-inning round tripper broke a 3-all tie • Was 6-for-13 in the series against Missouri, going 3-for-4 with an RBI in the opener on March 23 and 2-for-5 with a homer, double and three RBIs in the series finale two days later • Went 2-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI against Western Illinois on March 21 • Hit .500 (7-for-14) in the series at Texas Tech, highlighted by a 3-for-6 effort with two RBIs on March 16 • Matched his then-career high with three RBIs in the series finale at Alabama on March 11 • Drove in a pair of runs in NU’s win over Stetson on March 5 • Went 2-for-3 with a homer and scored twice in an 8-7 win over No. 27 Florida Atlantic on Feb. 25 • Made his debut for NU on Feb. 16 against New Mexico, going 2-for-3 with three RBIs • Spent the summer playing for Coach Bob Steinkamp and the Beatrice Bruins, leading the squad to a 33-7 record and an appearance in the NBC World Series in Wichita • Hit .397 with two homers and 16 RBIs in just 17 contests for the Bruins.

Paris Junior College/San Jacinto College/Paris High School: Corriston came to Nebraska from Paris Junior College, where he spent the 2006 campaign playing for Coach Deron Clark • Led PJC to a school-record 35 wins and a runner-up finish in the Region XIV Conference in 2006 • Earned first-team all-conference honors at second base, hitting .375 with six homers, 56 RBIs, 20 doubles and 15 stolen bases • Took a medical redshirt in 2005 • Began his junior college career at San Jacinto College, where he started at third base and hit .300 with five homers and 35 RBIs to help the Gators to a 41-22 record and a runner-up finish at the 2004 NJCAA World Series • Played four sports (football, baseball, basketball and track) at Paris High School, totaling 11 varsity letters • Started all four seasons on the diamond for Coach Ricky Wright, earning District 15-4A Player-of-the-Year honors while batting .460 with six homers in 2003 • Named District 15-4A Offensive Player of the Year during a junior season where he hit .400 with five homers • Looked at Northwestern State, Lamar and UT-San Antonio before choosing to become a Husker.
