Colgate Sits 68th in NCAA Washington Regional

Sammamish, Wash. - After a 60 minute rain delay during the start of the second round of the NCAA Washington Regional, Michael Colgate carded a score of 85 (+17). Colgate is sitting in 68th place after carding 74 in the first round of the competition. 

Colgate is one of five indivduals not on a qualifying team. The other four individuals include Hidetoshi Yoshihara (University of California, Los Angeles), Tim Widing (University of San Francisco), Ryan Wallen (University of Wyoming), and Cole Madey (University of California, Los Angeles). Yoshihara and Widing both shot scores of 81 in the second round of the tournament. Yoshihara is sitting in 69th, while Widing is tied for 59th. Wallen is tied for 27th after firing 74 in the second round. Madey is tied for 49th after carding a 76. 

Taking the lead in the tournament is Justin Suh of Southern California. Suh carded two rounds of 68 in the first two rounds. 

Play will resume tomorrow at Aldarra Golf Club, a par-71, 6,885-yard layout course. Colgate will tee off again on hole #10 at 9:31 PST.
