Huskers Head to Final Round in Arizona

Mesa, Ariz. - Annie Sritragul carded a 74, while Kate Smith and Audrey Judd both managed rounds of 75 to lead the Nebraska women's golf team in the second round of the Clover Cup at Longbow Golf Course on Saturday.

Smith, a freshman from Detroit Lakes, Minn., slipped from fourth place into a tie for 14th with her three-over-par 75 on the 6,184-yard layout at Longbow on Saturday. Smith, who fired a four-under-par 68 in Friday's opening round, heads to Sunday's final round with a one-under-par 143 through 36 holes.

Sritragul, another Husker freshman, used Nebraska's best individual round on Saturday to climb into a tie with Judd in 48th place overall at 152.

Senior Sarah Pravecek produced Nebraska's No. 4 score for the second straight day with a 79 to close her first 36 holes in a tie for 67th at 158. 

Junior Emily Gillman rounded out the Husker contingent with an 81 on Saturday to enter Sunday's final round in a tie for 72nd at 161.

Arizona State sits atop the team standings with a two-round total of 556 after shooting a sizzling 275 on Saturday. The Sun Devils own a six-stroke lead over Houston, which also fired a 275 on Saturday. The Cougars (562) are one shot ahead of third-place Florida State (279-284-563), while Oklahoma (282-285-567) and TCU (292-287-579) round out the top five. The Huskers head to the final round in 12th place at 605 (302-303).

Oklahoma's Julienne Soo scorched the Longbow course for a six-under-par 66 for the second straight day to claim a five-stroke edge on the individual leaderboard at 132. Arizona State's Monica Vaughn sits in second at 137.
