Senior (1997-98)
Denise Woodard capped her Nebraska career by competing in 11 rounds for the Huskers as a senior in 1997-98. Woodard, who earned lineup spots late in the season at both the Rainbow Wahine Invitational (March 24-26) and the Utah-Dixie Classic (April 6-7), finished with a season stroke average of 80.09.

The native of Alameda, Calif., was NU's No. 2 finisher at the Rainbow Wahine, posting a season-best three-round total of 235 to finish in a tie for 37th. Her second-round 77 in Hawaii tied for the second-best round of her two-year Husker career. She posted the two best rounds of her senior season by matching her career-best with a pair of 76's in the first and third rounds of the 1997 Chip-N Club Invitational on her way to a season-best tie for 16th.

Junior (1996-97)
In her first season on the course for the Huskers after redshirting in 1995-96, Woodard played in 20 rounds for the Huskers and posted an 86.39 stroke average. She notched the best tournament finish of her NU career by tying for 12th at the season-opening Lady Lion Invitational. Her effort at Penn State included a 77 in the second round. She competed as an individual at the Big 12 Fall Preview where she finished in a tie for 46th (245), which included a final-round 79.

Woodard also earned a lineup spot at the Pioneer Electronics Bruin Classic, where she finished 88th, before competing in the 1997 NCAA West Regional for the Huskers. She was NU's No. 4 finisher at the regional with a career-best 231 that included rounds of 79-76-76. Her scores of 76 in the second and third rounds established her Nebraska career bests.

Woodard redshirted after transferring to Nebraska before the start of the 1995-96 season.

Sophomore (University of San Francisco, 1994-95)
Woodard attended the University of San Francisco but did not compete in women's golf.

Freshman (University of San Francisco, 1994-95)
Woodard became the No. 1 golfer as a freshman at San Francisco, posting a 78.90 stroke average on the season on her way to team MVP honors. The earned three top-10 individual finishes in her first season with the Dons.

High School/Amateur
Woodard competed on the boys team for four years at Alameda High School, helping the team to four straight conference titles. She also played junior golf, capturing the 1992 National Minority Championship. The daughter of a golf pro, she took runner-up honors at the San Francisco City Tournament and qualified for the USGA Publinks in 1996. She holds an associates degree from Alameda Community College.

Personal
The daughter of Winslow and Toni Woodard, Denise was born Aug. 24, 1975. She was a financial management major at Nebraska.
