Senior (1979-80)
The lone senior on Nebraska's 1979-80 team, Cathy Morrissey ranked second on the team with an 84.64 stroke average over 11 rounds. Morrissey did not compete for the Huskers during the spring season and did not play at the Big Eight Championships as a senior.

A member of Nebraska's second women's golf team in 1976-77, Morrissey was a four-year letterwinner for the Huskers and a regular contributor to NU's lineup throughout her career. She played in 44 rounds during her career, competing in every round as both a freshman and sophomore. She lowered her season scoring average by 6.50 strokes from her freshman season to her senior year, and closed her career with an 87.23 stroke average.

The Syracuse, Neb., native opened her senior season with a career-best 77 in the first round at the Susie Maxwell Berning All-College Kickoff in Oklahoma. She closed the three-round tournament with a career-best 240. She added a 170 at Iowa State, a 171 in two rounds at the AIAW Region VI Tournament and a 182 at the Kansas Invitational. She played the final tournament of her career at Missouri, where she fired a 168 over two rounds.

Junior (1978-79)
A regular in the heart of Nebraska's lineup, Morrissey played 15 rounds and posted an 86.80 stroke average, which ranked fourth among the Huskers. She capped her third season at Nebraska as NU's No. 3 scorer with a 259 at the Big Eight Championships in Stillwater, Okla. NU finished fourth in the team standings, trailing Oklahoma State, Oklahoma and Missouri.

After opening the season with an 84 at the Omaha Invitational, Morrissey notched a two-round total of 170, including a season-best 81 in the second round, at the Iowa State Invitational. She opened with an 81 at the AIAW Region VI Championships to finish with another 170, before managing a 184 in two rounds at the Kansas Invite. She closed the fall season with a 168 that included a second-round 81 at the Mizzou Invitational.

Morrissey opened the spring campaign by tying for fourth place individually with a 177 at the Wichita State Shocker Invitational, and added a 90 in one round at the Kansas Invite, before closing her season at the Big Eight Championships.

Sophomore (1977-78)
In her second competitive season with the Huskers, Morrissey produced an 87.91 stroke average while playing in all 11 rounds. She finished with NU's No. 3 stroke average, trailing only All-Big Eight competitors Nan Circo and Jane Deeter.

Morrissey opened the season with a three-round score of 276 at the Susie Maxwell Berning All-College Classic in Oklahoma City, before adding a 174 in two rounds to finish 19th at the AIAW Region VI Championships in Minneapolis, Minn. She was NU's No. 2 finisher at the Illini Spring Invitational, producing a 172 over two rounds. Morrissey continued to play well at the Big Eight Championships on the Pioneers Golf Course in Lincoln, firing Nebraska's second-best score with a 166 that included a season-best 82 in the second round. Morrissey finished just four shots back of teammate Nan Circo (162), who tied for sixth place to earn All-Big Eight honors.

Morrissey capped her sophomore season with a 179 in two rounds at the Minnesota Invitational.

Freshman (1976-77)
Competing as a freshman in Nebraska's second season of varsity golf, Morrissey played in all seven rounds for the Huskers during the year. She opened her career with a 179 in two rounds at the first-ever Susie Maxwell Berning All-College Classic, where she fired a season-best 82 in the second round. Morrissey managed a 287 in three rounds at the Sooner Invitational, before capping the season with a 182 as Nebraska's No. 4 finisher at the Big Eight Championships in Norman, Okla. Morrissey helped the Huskers to a fourth-place team finish.
