Deb Denbeck earned varsity letters in Nebraska's first two seasons of women's golf in 1975-76 and 1976-77. The O'Neill, Neb., native helped the Huskers capture the first-ever Big Eight title in 1976, while earning a trip to the AIAW National Championships.

Denbeck did not play in a varsity round for the Huskers during her second season on the roster, and complete statistics from NU's inaugural season in 1975-76 are unavailable.

Denbeck was a member of Nebraska's first-ever varsity women's golf team under Coach Larry Romjue in 1975-76. Denbeck helped Nebraska capture the first-ever Big Eight championship in women's golf, which was held in Columbia, Mo.

The Huskers also finished fourth at the AIAW Region VI Tournament and qualified for the AIAW National Tournament in East Lansing, Mich. At nationals, Denbeck helped the Huskers to a 22nd-place finish with a two-round total of 683.
