The Huskers Fall to New Mexico

Salt Lake City, Utah-- The Nebraska men's tennis team ended its road trip against New Mexico on Saturday with a loss, 4-0. 

In doubles, Toby Boyer and Dylan Bednarczyk faught hard against Lawrence Perrin and Ricky Hernandez-Tong but fell 6-3. In the No. 2 spot, Tomislav Antoljak and David Samardzija played against Dominic West and Bart Van Leijsen. The point went to the Lobos 6-2, which gave the overall doubles point to New Mexico. Micah Klousia and Chris Dean did not finish their match.

Dylan Bednarczyk played in the No. 2 spot against Ricky Hernandez-Tong and fell 6-2, 6-0. Chris Dean faught hard against Lawrence Perrin but lost 6-3, 6-3 which gave the Lobos the 3-0 lead. To close out the match, Dominic West of New Mexico defeated David Samardzija 6-2, 6-1. The rest of the matches went unfinished.

The Huskers return home for a match against UMKC at 2 p.m. at the Dillon Tennis Center.on Feb. 25.
