Nebraska is Defeated by Northwestern
Evanston, Ill.- Nebraska played No. 21 Northwestern in a road match and lost 7-0. The Huskers have a 4-14 record so far this season.
In doubles, Tomislav Antoljak and Rok Krizaj played Chris Ephron and Michael Lorenzini and fell 6-1. For the doubles point, Toby Boyer and Dylan Bednarczyk battled the Wildcats but unfortunately fell 6-4. The No. 2 match played by David Samardzija and Micah Klousia went unfinished.
For singles, Toby Boyer played against #50 Konrad Zieba, but fell to him 6-1, 6-2. Tomislav Antoljak also was defeated by Northwestern 6-4, 6-2. In the No. 6 spot, David Samardzija played Brenden Volk but lost 6-1, 6-3. Chris Dean also fell to his opponent, Jason Seidman, 6-1, 6-3. Micah Klousia put up a fight against Ben Vandixhorn but the Wildcats took the point, 6-3, 7-5. In the No. 2 spot Dylan Bednarczyk faught hard against Sam Shropshire, having to go into a tie-breaking match. Northwestern captured the point, winning 4-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-7). Northwestern won the match 7-0.
The Huskers are back in action on the road, Sunday April 9, at noon. Nebraska is playing against Big Ten opponent Illinois.
