Kansas City, Mo. – The Nebraska women’s tennis team made a notable entrance to the Missouri Invitational with 10 victories over opponents from Louisville, Missouri and Memphis.

Freshman Claire Reifeis led the day for the Huskers by producing three of the 10 wins for the team. The Indianapolis, Ind., native started the morning with a quick 6-3, 6-2 singles win over Mariana Humberg of Louisville.

Reifeis collected her first doubles win of the tournament with partner Vasanti Shinde, as the duo downed Cassidy Spearman and Tate Schroeder of Mizzou 7-6 (4). Fellow freshman Jeannie Lozowski helped Reifeis secure the Huskers' third win, pulling a quick 6-3 win over Gabrielle Paul and Marta Morga of Memphis.

Singles matches continued against Louisville throughout the morning. Katerina Matysova, M’Balia Bangoura and Elizabeth Gould all fought through tiebreaker sets to increase Nebraska's victory total to six.
