Huskers Dominate Zips 4,663-4,630

Lexington, Ky. --- The eighth-ranked Nebraska rifle team dominated No. 18 Akron on Saturday 4,663 - 4,630.

Rachel Martin and Samantha Peterson each fired 582 in smallbore, leading the team in that discipline. Dacotah Faught added support with 581, while Nina Radulovic and Kayla Gadeken tallied 570 and 569, respectively. The Huskers finished with a team total of 2,315.

In air rifle, Faught led the way for the third consecutive week, posting 593. Martin (592) and Carter (583) helped the Huskers with their high scores. Peterson notched a 580, while Radulovic pitched in a 573. Gadeken, not competing for the team score, earned a career-high score of 590. As a team, NU ended with 2,348.

Akron was led by Connor O'Mara in smallbore, who recorded a 580. As a team, the Zips ended the day with 2,291. In air rifle, Zach Strohl was Akron's top shooter. Strohl scored 588. As a team, Akron finished with 2,339. 

The Huskers are back at it tomorrow for a big match against fourth-ranked Kentucky. The match is set to begin at 8 a.m. Live stats can be found at
