Cory Montgomery will lead Nebraska against Kansas at the Big 12 Tournament on Thursday at 1:30 p.m.

Lincoln - The Nebraska women’s basketball team earned the No. 9 seed and will play eighth-seeded Kansas in the first round of the Big 12 Tournament in Oklahoma City on Thursday, March 12, at 1:30 p.m.

The Huskers, who have won five of their past seven games heading into the tournament, were originally scheduled to play Kansas at 11 a.m. in the first game of the tournament. Due to multiple head-to-head conflicts with institutions playing in the men’s tournament at the same time on Thursday, all four game times at the women’s tournament were changed, so men’s and women’s fans of each school could attend both of their school’s games.

Nebraska is taking Monday off from practice, but will practice on Tuesday late afternoon. The Huskers will also practice in Lincoln on Wednesday morning, before practicing in Oklahoma City at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon.

The Huskers will play Kansas on Thursday, March 12 at 1:30 p.m. The winner of the Nebraska-Kansas game will advance to the quarterfinals to play top-seeded Oklahoma on Friday, March 13 at 11 a.m.

Nebraska’s game with Kansas will be televised locally in Oklahoma City by Cox Cable and will be available through a live video stream on Huskers.com through a feed provided by Big12Sports.com.
