Aubrey Eblin joined the Husker staff as director of operations in May of 2003 after spending three seasons as an assistant coach at Wyoming.
Eblin followed former Wyoming head coach Cindy Fisher to Nebraska, after Fisher joined the Husker staff as an assistant coach in April.
In Eblin’s position as director of operations, she coordinates NU’s travel arrangements, budgeting, scheduling and summer camps, while also overseeing the Huskers’ academic progress.
"I feel very fortunate to be a part of the great athletic tradition at the University of Nebraska," Eblin said. "Coach Yori and her staff have a great vision for the future of Husker basketball, and I am excited to be on board."
During her three-year stint as an assistant at Wyoming, Eblin coordinated the Cowgirls’ scheduling and team travel, while also assisting with the team’s academic development. After the 2001-02 season, Wyoming earned the WBCA award for the top team GPA in Division I women’s basketball.
Eblin played a role in coordinating Wyoming’s summer basketball camps, while also helping in all aspects of recruiting and player development as an assistant coach.
Before beginning her coaching career at Wyoming as a first-year assistant in 2000-01, Eblin spent 1999-2000 as a graduate assistant in the Wyoming athletic department. She traveled to Wyoming after a standout career at Old Dominion, where she earned four letters and helped the Lady Monarchs to the 1997 national championship game.
As a player, Eblin was part of four Colonial Athletic Association title teams and made four NCAA Sweet 16 appearances. She was a member of the CAA All-Tournament team as a junior and made the NCAA Mideast Regional All-Tournament team as a sophomore in 1996-97. She also served as a team co-captain as a senior in 1998-99.
An outstanding long-range shooter, Eblin holds the ODU school record for three-pointers made in a single game (9) and single season (97). She also set the NCAA Championship game record with 10 three-point attempts against Tennessee in 1997. During the Lady Monarchs’ run to the 1998 NCAA Sweet 16, Eblin scored 17 points, while making 5-of-10 three-pointers, in ODU’s win over Nebraska in the second round at Norfolk, Va.
A native of Chillicothe, Ohio, Eblin graduated from Old Dominion in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in sport management. She earned her master’s degree in kinesiology and health from the University of Wyoming in 2002.
