Outlook: Senior co-captain Magnus Grahn returns for his second season playing No. 1 singles. Grahn, who enrolled at NU at the beginning of the 1997 spring semester, solidified the Huskers in posting a 9-14 mark at the top of the NU lineup. With a year under his belt, Grahn has become a better player and could be one of the top players in the Big 12 this season. Grahn, at No. 19, is one of threee Huskers ranked in the Central Region during the spring.

Fall 1997: Grahn had a tremendous fall season in posting a 9-4 mark. He became the first Husker to win the No. 1 singles at the Tom Fallon Invitational, dropping only two sets during the tournament en route to a 4-0 mark.

1996-97: After enrolling at the semester break, Grahn became a fixture in the lineup at No. 1 singles, recording a 9-14 record. The junior from Sweden also went 3-21 in doubles, primarily teaming with Fredrik Riesbeck.

Other: A two-time junior collete All-American at Vencennes (Ind.) University, Grahn had a two-year record of 42-4 during his career, including a 20-1 mark as a sophomore at No. 1 singles. An exercise science major, Grahn has better than a 3.06 grade-point average. The son of Lars and Anita Grahn, Magnus has one younger brother, Olof. He is one of three Swedish players on the Husker roster, joining senior co-captain Markus Bergerheim and junior Joakim Larsson.
