Outlook (2009-10)
A three-year letterwinner for the Huskers, David Bendheim needs only nine victories to move into fifth place on the all-time wins list at Nebraska. The senior will look for those nine wins while competing with Christopher Aumueller and Calin Paar for a spot in the top three positions in the Husker lineup. In doubles play, Bendheim could play with either Calin Paar or Christopher Aumueller. Bendheim possesses a powerful serve and will provide vital leadership this season for the Huskers.

Junior (2008-09)

Playing in the Huskers’ top spot for the majority of the season, Bendheim got off to a blazing start by winning 12 of his first 15 matches, including a seven-match winning streak during that span. After his hot start, Bendheim was unable to collect a victory in Big 12 play, going against some of the nation’s premier players.  He eventually dropped his last eight matches to finish with a 12-11 overall record and an 0-6 mark in Big 12 play. In doubles, Bendheim teamed with Calin Paar to form the Huskers’ top doubles team.  The duo finished with a 13-12 record while playing primarily at the No. 1 spot.

Sophomore (2007-08)
One of the Huskers’ top players, Bendheim compiled an overall record of 15-10 in the spring season.  Playing at the No. 1 position, Bendheim recorded a 1-5 mark in conference play.  Bendheim was one of only two Huskers to record winning marks in each position they played, going 4-2 and 2-1 at the No. 2 and 3 positions respectively. In doubles play, Bendheim had a record of 8-13.

Freshman (2006-07)
Bendheim made an immediate impact for the Huskers in 2007, joining the team in time for the spring season and competing in 19 of the Huskers’ 20 matches.  Playing primarily in the No. 2 slot, Bendheim racked up a 9-10 singles record, and he teamed with four different Huskers for a 7-11 doubles record.

High School
While attending Carl-Schurz-Schule in Frankfurt, Germany, Bendheim earned a German national ranking of 239th.

David was born on March 24, 1987, in Frankfurt, Germany, and is the son of Raif and Gertrud Bendheim.  He has one sister, Amelie (21), and is majoring in business administration at Nebraska.
