Two Huskers Named to All-Region Teams
The pair of Huskers increases NU’s All-Region total to 56, with Jaycie Johnson becoming the 33rd first-team member in program history.

Seniors Jaycie Johnson and Sydney Miramontez each earned spots on the NSCAA All-Great Lakes Region Teams for the 2016 season.

Johnson, a forward from Lake Winnebago, Mo., made the first team after scoring a team-leading 11 goals during her final season at Nebraska. Johnson, who started all 22 games, also tallied two assists in 2016. She collects All-Region honors for the second time in her career after making the second team in 2013.

Miramontez, a defender from Lenexa, Kan., made the third team after recording one goal and a team-leading seven assists. Miramontez started all 22 games and led the team in minutes played with 2,101.
