Huskers Blank Gophers 4-0

Ankeny, Iowa – The Nebraska women's soccer team is still undefeated at 3-0 after defeating Minnesota 4-0 at the neutral site of Ankeny Centennial High School on Saturday afternoon.

Following a defensive struggle and a scoreless first half, the Huskers exploded in the second half with a flurry of goals while maintaining the shutout on defense. A corner kick from senior Brenna Ochoa set up the first score of the game by senior Savanah Uveges. Freshman Emma Marcus followed up and kicked her first career goal as a Husker, making the score 2-0.

Sophomore Kate Leachman widened the gap by scoring the third goal of the game. A corner kick by sophomore Allison Ulness set up the last score by sophomore Kayla Mostowich, leading to a final of 4-0.

The Huskers will continue spring play against Missouri at noon on Saturday, April 13 at Swope Park in Kansas City, Mo. Admission to all spring games are free to the public.
