2004 Outlook
Sophomore Cory Timm hopes to earn playing time on the Husker offensive line this fall. The Yutan, Neb., product enters fall camp listed as a reserve at right guard behind returning starter Jake Andersen. Timm possesses prototype size for an offensive lineman, checking in at 6-4 and 320 pounds.

Timm served as a reserve offensive lineman, but did not see game action.

Timm sat out his first season as a redshirt.

Before Nebraska (Yutan HS)
Timm started at tackle on both sides of the ball for Coach Rod Thayer for four years. Timm earned first-team All-Nebraska honors from the Omaha World-Herald and was a Class C-2 (fourth largest) first-team member at offensive guard for the OWH and the Lincoln Journal Star. He was named the lineman of the year at his high school his final two seasons. Timm was also the starting center for his basketball team, averaging 10 points and 11 rebounds per game. He earned second-team all-conference honors as a senior. He qualified for state in the discus each of his last three years at Yutan, placing second in 2002. Timm also qualified in the shot put as a junior and senior, finishing third as a senior. Timm was an honor roll student, and attended football camp at Nebraska. He picked NU after also visiting Colorado State, Wyoming and New Mexico State.

Personal
The son of Mike and Janet Timm, Cory was born on Christmas Day in 1983. He is majoring in communication studies and has twice been named to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll. Timm’s older brother, Dustin, is a right-handed pitcher for the Nebraska baseball team from 2002 to 2004 and was picked by Milwaukee in the 26th-round of the 2004 draft, while his other brother, Bucky, pitched for Midland College in Fremont, Neb.
