Release: 07/05/2007

2007 Outlook
Redshirt freshman Kyle Moore will enter fall camp in hopes of pushing for playing time in the Nebraska linebacking corps that includes four senior veterans. Moore was prepared for action last season after injuries sidelined several linebackers, but he ultimately redshirted. The 6-2, 225-pound Moore will enter 2007 listed as a reserve at the SAM linebacker spot.

A walk-on athlete, Moore is the brother of former Husker defensive end, Jay Moore, who completed his eligibility last season and was selected in the fourth round of the NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers.

2006 (Redshirt)
Moore sat out the season as a redshirt and worked with the scout team.

Before Nebraska (Elkhorn HS)
Moore was a standout for Coach Mark Wortman at Elkhorn High School, a powerhouse in the Nebraska Class B ranks. Moore earned Omaha World-Herald and Lincoln Journal Star first-team Class B all-state honors as a senior, when he helped the Antlers to an 8-3 record and a state playoff appearance.

Moore recorded 17 receptions for 284 yards and three touchdowns on offense, while adding 49 tackles, two sacks and a pair of interceptions on defense.

Personal
Kyle is the son of Jim and Marion Moore and was born on Aug. 16, 1987. He is a pre-criminal justice major and has volunteered his time with Nebraska’s local hospital visits.
