Scott Koethe (pronounced COE-thee) teamed with Nate Kolterman to buck up Dan Vili Waldrop at right tackle in 2002.  Koethe also served as the left tackle for the Husker PAT and field goal units.  In his career, Koethe appeared in 40 games (including bowls) and notched seven career pancakes.

2000: Koethe played in 10-of-11 games, serving as a backup at left tackle to Volk and Chris Loos and as the left guard on Nebraska's PAT and field goal units. Koethe did not make the trip to Texas Tech, but was on the traveling squad for all other games. Koethe recorded two pancakes on the season, one each vs. San Jose State and Baylor. He saw action in the Huskers' 66-17 win over Northwestern in the 2000 Alamo Bowl.

1999: A reserve tackle, Koethe saw action in two games in 1999, but did not record any pancakes.

1998: A walk-on, Koethe redshirted in 1998.

At Central City HS: Koethe played on the offensive and defensive lines for Central City, earning all-state honors.

Personal: The son of Gary and Carolyn Koethe, Scott was born on Oct. 27, 1979. He is majoring in business administration and is on schedule to earn his degree in May 2003. Koethe is a member of the 2002 Nebraska Football Unity Council.
